The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zedong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A slapping body kick lands there for Zedong.
Armstrong misses with a takedown attempt
and Zedong counters with a leg kick.
Zedong lands with a kick to the ribs.
Zedong throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Armstrong is breathing heavily.
Zedong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Zedong dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Armstrong. That did some damage!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mao Zedong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zedong swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Zedong throws a sloppy head kick and Armstrong moves out of range easily.

and Zedong counters with a crisp one two that drops Armstrong! Zedong thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Armstrong to his feet! Armstrong is in big trouble!

Zedong throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Armstrong.
Zedong throws a right hand that Armstrong ducks under and follows up with a left that Armstrong also avoids with ease.

Mao Zedong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Armstrong on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Zedong lands a left and a right that send Armstrong crashing to the mat, dazed. Zedong thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Armstrong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zedong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Armstrong seems to have got his legs back now.

Zedong throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Armstrong crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
