The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Liddell manages to avoid it.
Liddell looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Liddell takes a swing at Garcia 's ribcage but misses.
Garcia swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A jab lands there for Garcia .
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Liddell stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Garcia .
Garcia lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Garcia .
Garcia throws a nice outside leg kick.
Liddell throws a lazy right hand but Garcia sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Garcia cracks the inside of Liddell's front leg.
Liddell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Garcia .

Liddell misses with a looping left.
Garcia throws a sloppy head kick and Liddell moves out of range easily.
Garcia slips a jab and a cross from Liddell.
Garcia dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Garcia connects with a good right hand that stumbles Liddell. Liddell circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Liddell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Garcia .
Garcia bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Liddell's head backwards.

Liddell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Garcia .

The fighters circling - Garcia throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Garcia fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Garcia dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Liddell. That did some damage!
Garcia scores with a jab. Liddell acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
