Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Overeem has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawler has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Overeem.
Lawler misses with a double jab
and Overeem counters with a left and a right that stings Lawler.
Overeem moves out of range of the strikes.
Robbie Lawler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lawler throws a right hand that Overeem ducks under and follows up with a left that Overeem also avoids with ease.
Lawler lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
A right-left combo lands from Lawler.
No joy there for Overeem, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lawler lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Lawler!

Overeem is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lawler finds Overeem's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Overeem flops back against the ropes, eyes gazing into the distance. Lawler lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Overeem will be OK.
