Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Lawson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Jackson misses with a lunging right hand
and Lawson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jackson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Lawson moves out of range easily.
Jackson dives in and grabs Lawson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lawson pushes down on Jackson's head and hops out.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Lawson shows good takedown defense.
Jackson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Jackson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lawson looks to land a combination but Jackson avoids it well.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Lawson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Lawson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jackson back to the cage. Lawson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Lawson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jackson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lawson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jackson scrambles back to his feet.
Lawson sizes up Jackson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lawson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
