PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sasha Lagoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Pavella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pavella comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Raising Hell---Hed P.E. kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lagoo connects with a body shot that sends Pavella's belly button to the back.
Lagoo misses with a body shot.
Lagoo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Pavella tries to land a front kick but Lagoo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Owen Pavella seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lagoo throws a head kick that misses.
Pavella tries for a takedown but Lagoo circles away easily
and Lagoo counters with a left to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Lagoo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pavella thinking.

Pavella shoots in looking for a takedown but Lagoo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pavella's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sasha Lagoo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Owen Pavella.

and Lagoo counters with a series of strikes. Pavella will be more careful next time no doubt.

Lagoo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Pavella paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lagoo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lagoo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pavella misses with a takedown

and Lagoo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Lagoo scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Lagoo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pavella takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Pavella tries to close the distance and clinch but Lagoo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Lagoo counters with a low kick, right behind Pavella 's knee.

and Lagoo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

A looping hook to the body misses from Lagoo. Pavella does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pavella shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lagoo but Lagoo pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Pavella is still on wobbly legs! Can Lagoo finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
