PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Preston MacClelland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doug Robertson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Preston MacClelland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doug Robertson!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacClelland takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

It looks like Preston MacClelland has been cut.

Robertson has hold of one of MacClelland's legs. MacClelland is fighting the takedown attempt but Robertson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Robertson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Robertson manages to end up in side control.
MacClelland is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Robertson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Robertson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of MacClelland's face.
