Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Lowich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jules Neil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jeff Lowich has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeff Lowich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jules Neil!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neil tries to close the distance and clinch but Lowich swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Neil ducks right into an uppercut from Lowich.

Neil clinches.
Neil prevents Lowich from breaking the clinch.
Neil goes for a takedown attempt but Lowich pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Neil dodges the punch combination from Lowich.
Neil closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lowich circles away.
Neil ducks under a wild hook from Lowich.

Neil closes the distance and clinches.
Neil fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jeff Lowich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jules Neil.
Neil is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Neil scores a nice knee to the body.

Neil jumps into guard, dragging Lowich to the mat.

Neil looking for a guillotine here but Lowich defends easily.
Lowich won't allow Neil to get back to his feet.
Lowich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Neil swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lowich drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lowich jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Neil fails with a takedown attempt.
A punch combination from Lowich misses.
Neil tries to clinch but Lowich is having none of it.
Lowich fails to land with a series of punches.
Lowich lands a jab-cross combination.
Neil tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lowich avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Neil staying out of range there.
Lowich tests Neil's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lowich misses with a few strikes there.

Neil drives through with a takedown into guard.
Neil looks gassed!
Neil wanted to stand there but Lowich had control of the position.
Neil throwing strikes but missing.
Neil must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lowich is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Neil misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Neil is not content to let Lowich control the position.
Neil tries to get to full guard but Lowich has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lowich is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Neil defends it well.
Neil trying to control but Lowich postures up.
Lowich is looking to take a break and control but Neil is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neil is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Lowich pulls his head out easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lowich lands a head shot.
Neil fails to land the takedown.
Lowich throws a hook to the side of Neil's head but Neil sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Neil scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Lowich has hold of Neil's hands but Neil slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Lowich is defending against the submission attempts here by Neil.
Neil slips a nice elbow through Lowich's hands, connecting with Lowich's forehead.
Lowich is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Neil's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Neil's back!
Neil is in bad spot here.
Neil has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Lowich struggling to land strikes to the head as Neil covers up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neil trying to control the position but Lowich manages to sink in the hooks.
