The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lemiwinks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Couture moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Horrible takedown by Couture or perhaps it was just good defense by Lemiwinks which made him look bad.

Couture changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lemiwinks tries to avoid it but Couture manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lemiwinks to the ground. Lemiwinks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Couture shoots in looking for a takedown. Lemiwinks tries to sprawl out of it but Couture keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lemiwinks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Couture. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Couture is defended easily by Lemiwinks.
Lemiwinks leaves Couture with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Couture throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lemiwinks's waist but Lemiwinks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Couture off to one side.

Well Lemiwinks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
