Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gosha Abramov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandrovich Fyodor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fyodor has chosen The Last Emperor as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gosha Abramov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexandrovich Fyodor!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abramov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Fyodor counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fyodor.
Abramov seems keen to control Fyodor's posture.
Fyodor in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Abramov is trying to control the position but Fyodor postures up.

Fyodor drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Abramov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fyodor has Abramov in his guard.
Fyodor has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Abramov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Abramov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Fyodor wants to stand but Abramov is controlling the position.

Abramov drops back looking for a leg! Fyodor is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fyodor manages to kick Abramov off! Abramov jumps back into Fyodor's guard.
Abramov wants to control from the top but Fyodor keeps moving.
Fyodor is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Fyodor wriggles free and stands up.
Fyodor misses with a double jab.
Fyodor scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Fyodor with a hook.
Abramov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Abramov with a lazy takedown attempt

and Fyodor counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Abramov's guard now.
Fyodor in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Fyodor advances to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fyodor stops Abramov from getting back to his feet.

Fyodor is looking for a kimura but Abramov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fyodor to get the leverage.
Abramov is trying to get back to full guard.

Fyodor looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fyodor is controlling the pace.

Fyodor is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Abramov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fyodor.
Fyodor wants to pass to mount but Abramov is defending the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexandrovich Fyodor dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Fyodor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A big left from Fyodor misses.
Fyodor lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Abramov tries to clinch but Fyodor moves away

and Fyodor counters with a takedown into side control.
Abramov is trying to improve his position.
Fyodor tries to move into full mount but can't pass Abramov's legs.

Abramov taking a bit of punishment here - Fyodor scoring with strikes.
Fyodor wants to control for a moment but Abramov uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Fyodor looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Let's hope that Fyodor has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Abramov is not content to let Fyodor control the position.

Fyodor throwing shots but Abramov is blocking nicely.
Fyodor is looking to take a break and control but Abramov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alexandrovich Fyodor.

Fyodor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fyodor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fyodor goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Abramov is on top in guard.

Abramov drops back looking for a leg! Fyodor is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fyodor manages to kick Abramov off! Abramov jumps back into Fyodor's guard.

Fyodor wants to get back to his feet but Abramov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Fyodor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Abramov manages to get himself to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fyodor drops back, looking for a kneebar! Abramov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Abramov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Abramov!

Abramov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexandrovich Fyodor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Abramov has his takedown stuffed
and Fyodor counters with a straight right hand.
Abramov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fyodor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fighters circle momentarily. Fyodor darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Abramov tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fyodor looking to pass the guard.
Fyodor is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Fyodor controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Fyodor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Abramov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fyodor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Alexandrovich Fyodor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alexandrovich Fyodor.

Fyodor feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fyodor is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Gosha Abramov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Fyodor lands with an uppercut that bounces Abramov off the cage and back into rage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Alexandrovich Fyodor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Fyodor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
