Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quick comes to the cage accompanied by Indestructible, by Disturbed. Silva has chosen Thunderstruck by AC/DC as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Quick.
Silva fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Quick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Quick.
Silva scores with a hook to the body. Quick takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Quick fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.
Silva wants to stall.
Quick has Silva pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Silva manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Quick looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Silva engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Quick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Silva lying in Quick's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Quick decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Silva taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
