The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wrzeszczycki clinches up with Pearson and pushes him back against the cage.

Wrzeszczycki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown by Pearson or perhaps it was just good defense by Wrzeszczycki which made him look bad.
Pearson shoots in for a takedown but Wrzeszczycki shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Pearson wants to clinch
and Wrzeszczycki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
An inside leg kick lands from Wrzeszczycki.
Pearson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Pearson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wrzeszczycki circles away quickly and effectively.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wrzeszczycki throws a nice looking combination but Pearson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wrzeszczycki scores with a head kick. Pearson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Wrzeszczycki lands a big head kick that sends Pearson tumbling to the mat! Wrzeszczycki takes a step backwards and waves Pearson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Wrzeszczycki drops Pearson with a straight right hand, right on the button! Wrzeszczycki follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
