Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve McRae!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lyle Odelein!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McRae throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McRae loads up on a big right hand but Odelein slips the punch.
Odelein lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Odelein thuds a left hand into McRae's body.
Odelein throws a combination that misses

and McRae counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
McRae is thwarting Odelein's attempts to control the position.
Odelein is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McRae's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McRae's back!

Odelein is looking for the choke from the back position but McRae is controlling his hands well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

McRae tries to break free.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
McRae is trying to break free.
Odelein is looking to control McRae but McRae is wriggling around and keeping busy.
McRae tries to escape the position.
McRae is working hard here to advance position.

Odelein is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but McRae has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Odelein is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. McRae is defending well though. Odelein let's go of the attempt for now.
McRae might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Odelein goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. McRae escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Odelein tries to roll over but McRae keeps him under control.
Odelein is staying active underneath McRae, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Odelein wants to improve his position but McRae is controlling well.

McRae is keen to just control but Odelein is a slippery customer.
Odelein keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
McRae missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

McRae is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Odelein defends it well.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
McRae is looking to advance position but Odelein won't allow it.
Odelein moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Odelein is trying to keep McRae in close.
McRae trying to control the position from guard on top but Odelein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Odelein wants to control the position but McRae says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Odelein wants to get back to full guard.
Odelein is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Odelein tries to regain full guard. Instead though, McRae has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Lyle Odelein will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


McRae keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Odelein misses with a body kick.
That kick from Odelein tenderised McRae's leg. McRae is trying to keep his angry face on.
McRae blocks a low kick nicely.
Odelein throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
McRae wants to clinch but Odelein slips to the side
and Odelein counters with a nice uppercut.
Odelein walks into a straight right hand from McRae.
Odelein scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Odelein uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McRae.
Steve McRae is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A combination from Odelein does no damage.
Odelein fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McRae.
McRae swings widly with a right hand
and Odelein counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. McRae is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Odelein looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Odelein plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Odelein cracks McRae with an open hand slap.


McRae is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
McRae has his takedown stuffed
and Odelein counters with a solid body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McRae on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McRae crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Odelein - the referee stops the clock and McRae gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Odelein. McRae manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Odelein slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Oh McRae is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McRae backs away from a small jab...but Odelein lunges forward with a huge superman punch! McRae crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Odelein with a spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Lyle Odelein!
