Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Angus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angus has managed to clinch.
Jones misses with a knee strike.
Angus blocks an elbow strike from Jones.

Jones manages to break the clinch.
Jones tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Angus holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Angus creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Jones with a knee to the head.

It looks like Vince Angus has been cut.
Jones tries a knee to the head but Angus blocks it.
Jones tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Jones manages to break the clinch.
Jones tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Angus counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jones wants to sweep but no luck.
Angus not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Angus content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Jones has locked up a guillotine! Jones's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Angus is holding on here and Jones must be using up a lot of energy. Angus has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Jones gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
