The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rigogo misses with a leg kick

and Lanakila counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Lanakila gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Rigogo regains guard.

Rigogo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lanakila is in close to Rigogo's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Lanakila keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rigogo's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rigogo is looking for a triangle here but Lanakila uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Lanakila is looking to take a break and control but Rigogo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lanakila works to advance to full mount. Rigogo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
