Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Severiano Hurtado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Chen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chen has chosen Surfing with the Alien as his entrance music. Severiano Hurtado has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Chen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hurtado throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Hurtado breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Chen counters with a crisp right hand that drops Hurtado! Chen lets Hurtado back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

It looks like Severiano Hurtado has been cut.
Hurtado is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chen.

Chen cracks Hurtado with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hurtado looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Chen finish him?

Hurtado is rocked!

Hurtado pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hurtado throws a looping overhand right but Chen ducks down to avoid it.

Chen lands a big uppercut and Hurtado crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hurtado looks OK. Chen waves Hurtado back to his feet!
Oh Hurtado is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Severiano Hurtado's cut is getting worse.
Hurtado walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Hurtado seems to have got his legs back now.
Chen missing with a left hand there. Hurtado was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hurtado looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hurtado scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Hurtado switches off momentarily and Chen cracks him with a monster right hand! Hurtado topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Chen dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Chen!
