Rodgers comes into the arena with The Prodigy - World's On Fire blaring out of the sound system. Pace has chosen Let The Bodies Hit The Floor as his entrance music. James Rodgers had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pace lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Pace misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rodgers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rodgers sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Pace to the ground! Rodgers dives into full mount looking to finish!

It looks like Ben Pace has been cut.
Rodgers is landing with some decent strikes but Pace is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Rodgers with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Pace takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Rodgers cracks Pace with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Rodgers gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Rodgers decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pace trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Rodgers manages to pass to mount!

Pace tries to improve his position but Rodgers has taken his back! Rodgers has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Pace tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Rodgers pushes Pace away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
