Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Bolivar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Alvarengas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolivar throws a leg kick
and Alvarengas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Alvarengas tries to clinch but Bolivar moves away

and Bolivar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bolivar tries to break the clinch but Alvarengas is controlling the position.

Alvarengas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Alvarengas tries to clinch up

and Bolivar counters by clinching up.
Bolivar wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Alvarengas is pressed up against the cage. Bolivar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alvarengas down to the mat. Alvarengas avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Alvarengas misses with a lunging right hand

and Bolivar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bolivar.

Alvarengas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alvarengas moves to clinch but Bolivar breaks away
and Bolivar counters with a two punch combo.
Alvarengas lands a really nice looking cross but Bolivar seems unphased.
Bolivar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alvarengas as he jumps to the side.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bolivar gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Alvarengas dances in with a quick combination. Bolivar is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Alvarengas snaps Bolivar's head back. Bolivar stumbles backwards against the cage. Alvarengas steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Bolivar's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Bolivar just didn't come prepared.
