Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Cris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Cris!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melendez closes the distance and pushes Cris back into the cage.
Cris is trying to force a seperation but Melendez has the dominant position.
Melendez goes for a takedown attempt but Cris pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Cris doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Melendez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cris's guard now.
Melendez throwing strikes but missing.
Melendez stopping the sweep attempt from Cris.
Cris working a defensive guard here.
Melendez working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Melendez throws a big right hand that misses.
Cris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cris keeping moving, preventing Melendez from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Melendez stands up over Cris, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Cris wants to hit a switch here but Melendez passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Cris there!
Cris really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Melendez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cris is bucking up trying to escape but Melendez cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Melendez looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Cris in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Cris is rocked!
Melendez unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Cris wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Melendez celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
