The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Johnson tries to clinch but Mendes moves out of range.
Johnson misses with a takedown
and Mendes counters with a one-two to the body.
Mendes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johnson.

Johnson feints and as Mendes raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
