Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Bird!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Patton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bird throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bird takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Patton lands a nice looking body shot.
Bird gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Patton counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Bird darts in trying to clinch
and Patton counters with a nice body shot.
Bird throws a left and a right that both miss
and Patton counters with a straight right hand.
Bird misses with a combination
and Patton counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Bird looks to throw a body kick
and Patton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bird misses with a double jab
and Patton counters with a left and a right that stings Bird.
Bird looks gassed!
Bird throws a poor cross that misses
letting Patton counter with a right hand.
Bird throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Patton counters with a crisp one two that drops Bird! Patton thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Bird to his feet! Bird is in big trouble!
Bird is rocked!
Bird finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Patton's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Bird falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Patton!
