Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jermaine Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jermaine Jones has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rambo throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jones moves to clinch but Rambo breaks away

and Rambo moves into the clinch.
Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rambo fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Rambo jumps guard and drags Jones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rambo is on top in guard.

Rambo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jones can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Horrible takedown by Rambo or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.

Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rambo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Rambo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Rambo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jones, up you get!

and Rambo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Rambo slips nicely into half guard.
Rambo wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.

Rambo won't let Jones get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rambo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jones tries to control Rambo's body but Rambo pushes him off. Jones squirms to his side and now Rambo has his back!
Rambo cracks Jones with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Jones from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
The referee is taking a good look at Jones as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Rambo!

Jones is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Rambo just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Rambo lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jones finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes.

Jones is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Rambo gets his way!

Well Rambo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
