The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Janosik fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gonzales sprawls well initially but Janosik persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Janek Janosik will probably get the nod.

Gonzales takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Let's hope that Gonzales has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Gonzales working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Janosik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Janosik manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Janek Janosik.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Janosik, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
