The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.
Jenkins throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.
Jenkins throws an overhand right that lands on Silva's shoulder, as Silva tries to avoid the shot.
Jenkins fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.

Jenkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Jenkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Silva lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jenkins's sensitive parts.
Horrible takedown by Jenkins or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
