Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Xystorophroi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xystorophroi has chosen Boom!!! as his entrance music. Dan Patterson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Xystorophroi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Patterson is looking for a sweep. Xystorophroi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Xystorophroi jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Patterson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Patterson and Xystorophroi has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
