The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bricis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gracie on the side of the head.

It looks like Hodger Gracie has been cut.
Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bricis counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Bricis scores with the left hand. Gracie knows he should have avoided that one.
Gracie throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bricis.
Bricis lands the left hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bricis. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet.

Viktors Bricis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Viktors Bricis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
