Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiki Konda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konda has a takedown stuffed.
Phillips lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Konda at a distance.
Konda fails with a takedown attempt.
Phillips lands with an uppercut that bounces Konda off the cage and back into rage.
Phillips connects with a single shot there.

It looks like Hiki Konda has been cut.
Konda throws a leg kick but Phillips sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Konda will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hiki Konda. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Konda changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Phillips tries to avoid it but Konda manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Phillips to the ground. Phillips escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Phillips shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Konda eats them both and turns towards Phillips to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Konda shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Phillips as he avoids it easily.
Konda is breathing heavily.
Phillips lands a big right hook! Konda looks hurt but is still standing! Phillips lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Konda falls down and Phillips dives in with a huge hammer fist! Konda's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Phillips runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
