Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Mike Hunt enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis drives through with a takedown into guard.
Davis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Hunt has his foot on Davis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davis works his way back into a safe position though.
Hunt is looking to stand up but Davis isn't so interested in that idea.

Davis looks up at the clock and then as Hunt takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Davis smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Davis wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hunt, who protects the arm well.

Davis is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hunt's shoulder. That is not cool.
Davis cracks Hunt with a big right hand but Hunt just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Davis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hunt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hunt tries to buck Davis off but Davis is having none of it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Davis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hunt napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Hunt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Davis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hunt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hunt seems a little lost for a moment, as Davis dominates the positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Davis works to advance to full mount. Hunt defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Davis wants to finish this one by submission but Hunt is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Davis.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
