Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derek Norey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timothy Flowers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Derek Norey looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flowers shoots in but no luck this time.
Flowers moves out of range of the strikes.

Norey pushes Flowers up against the cage in a clinch.
Norey scores with a shoulder strike.

Norey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Flowers drops his hands momentarily and Norey takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Norey throws a hook but Flowers avoids it easily.
Norey lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Norey throws a solid leg kick but Flowers takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Norey.
Flowers takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Flowers drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Flowers is still in real trouble! Can Norey finish him?

Flowers stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Norey is breathing heavily.
Flowers slips under a jab.
Flowers seems to have recovered his senses.

Flowers creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Norey sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Flowers should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Norey bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Norey ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Flowers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Norey is fending him off so far but Flowers persists. Nope, Norey circles away and we're back to standing.
Norey connects with a looping right hand.

Flowers drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

I looks like Flowers might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Flowers gets to his feet. Norey looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Norey lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
No luck for Flowers with that takedown attempt.

Flowers shoots for a takedown but Norey saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Derek Norey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Flowers counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Norey's guard now.

Flowers pushes Norey off and gets back to his feet.

Flowers closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Flowers wants to work for an arm triangle but Norey is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Flowers is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Norey has his foot on Flowers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Flowers works his way back into a safe position though.
