Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Ohko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ohko comes to the cage accompanied by Mama Said Knock You Out. Polo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mind, Body, & Soul kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Tommy Ohko could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marco Polo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tommy Ohko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Ohko.
Ohko throws the kick towards the body but Polo avoids it.
Polo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
An inside leg kick lands from Ohko.
Ohko scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Polo avoids the head kick by Ohko.

Ohko closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Polo did well to prevent Ohko getting side control.
Ohko is pressing down on Polo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Polo is holding on for now.

Polo is looking for a sweep. Ohko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ohko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Polo on the ground.

Polo is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Ohko jumps into side control!

Ohko remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tommy Ohko.
Ohko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Polo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ohko can pounce on him.
Polo drops his hands momentarily and Ohko takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.


It looks like Marco Polo has been cut.
Ohko misses with a body shot.
Ohko comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Polo blocks a head kick by Ohko.
Polo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ohko paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ohko scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Polo looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ohko throws a head kick that misses.
Ohko ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ohko moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A cross from Ohko lands.
Polo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ohko.
Polo walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ohko.
Polo avoids the head kick by Ohko.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Ohko is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Polo's half guard.
Polo is trying to control but can't.
Ohko takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ohko passes into side control, despite Polo's attempt to control the position.
The referee asks Ohko politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ohko prefers to stall for the moment though.

Ohko lands a nice hook to Polo's body. Polo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Ohko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ohko not doing much here.
Ohko seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Polo for as long as he can get away with.
Ohko's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Ohko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ohko wants it to stay on the feet.
Polo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ohko sprawls well. Ohko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Polo gets slowly back to his feet.

Ohko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Polo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ohko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Polo napping and manages to drive through into side control!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ohko scores with a head kick. Polo tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Polo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ohko avoids it really well and circles away.
Ohko throws the kick towards the body but Polo avoids it.
Polo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ohko fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ohko is looking to slow Polo down with leg kicks.
