Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Bagato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Levi Gene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gene tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bagato swivels and escapes.
Bagato throws a series of punches but Gene avoids them all with ease.

and Bagato counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gene shoots for a double leg takedown but Bagato sprawls well. He's pushed Gene's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jimmy Bagato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Levi Gene.

Gene thows a leg kick but Bagato checks it
and Bagato cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Bagato counters with a crisp one two that drops Gene! Bagato thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gene to his feet! Gene is in big trouble!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bagato connects with a nice cross there... Gene is looking wobbly and Bagato recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Gene to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Bagato jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
