PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kazuya Kiriyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandro Noessler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noessler has chosen Primordial - Empire Falls as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiriyama misses with a combination
and Noessler counters with a straight right hand.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Kiriyama gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Noessler regains guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kiriyama stands and throws Noessler's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Noessler is looking for a sweep. Kiriyama is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kiriyama changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Noessler looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Noessler's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kiriyama is nestled in close to Noessler, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Noessler enables Kiriyama to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Noessler manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
