Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray avoids a kick to the body.
Simons III manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gray on his heels. He'll look to pass Gray's guard now, I'm sure.
Simons III wants to pass the guard but Gray is keeping the position.
Simons III is working hard here to advance position.

Gray wants to stand but Simons III is controlling the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Simons III drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Simons III jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gray is wriggling around but Simons III manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Simons III is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gray doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Simons III.

Simons III is keen to just control but Gray is a slippery customer.

Gray pushes Simons III off looking to stand but Simons III dives back in and keeps control.
Simons III is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gray defends it well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gray is trying to escape back to his feet but Simons III uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Gray really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Simons III. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Simons III can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gray is looking to escape.
Simons III has hold of Gray's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gray manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Simons III is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gray trying to get back to full guard but Simons III takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Gray tries to lock up and control but Simons III gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Simons III is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Simons III extends the arm and Gray is forced to tap!
