The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nunes with a lazy takedown attempt
and Mastiff counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nunes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mastiff connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nunes throws a lazy uppercut
letting Mastiff counter with a right hand.
Nunes has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Mastiff connects with a body shot.
Nunes tries to clinch up
and Mastiff makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clovis Nunes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mastiff closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nunes to the mat! Nunes manages to get full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mastiff accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mastiff stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nunes swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mastiff slips nicely into half guard.
Nunes is looking to get back to full guard here but Mastiff has managed to pass to side control instead.
Mastiff lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Nunes down.
Mastiff works to advance to full mount. Nunes defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Mastiff lands a big elbow.
Mastiff postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Nunes out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Mastiff goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
