Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Velasqz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ninho De Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasqz comes to the cage accompanied by The Champ is Here. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Souza looks to throw the jab but Velasqz is out of range.

Velasqz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but De Souza paws at him with a jab and circles away.
De Souza pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Velasqz swings for the body but De Souza moves out of range.

enabling De Souza to counter with a crisp jab.
De Souza throws the kick towards the body but Velasqz avoids it.
De Souza takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Velasqz has managed to clinch.
Velasqz doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
De Souza fails to pull guard.
Velasqz lands a hook to the side of the head.
De Souza fails to pull the fight into his guard.
De Souza can't get the takedown.
Cain Velasqz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ninho De Souza.

De Souza is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Velasqz is just riding it out for now. De Souza eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Velasqz makes his way to full guard, as De Souza worked for a kimura.

Velasqz has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. De Souza doesn't defend quickly enough and Velasqz has managed to lock this one up! Can De Souza escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Velasqz on a fantastic submission victory.
