PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dillan Boyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dubbie Dubdub (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyer comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem- Go To Sleep. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dubdub throws a front kick that sends Boyer stumbling back into the cage.
Boyer is breathing heavily.
Boyer avoids the head kick by Dubdub.
Boyer blocks a head kick by Dubdub.
Dubdub will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Horrible takedown by Boyer or perhaps it was just good defense by Dubdub which made him look bad.
Dubdub throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dubdub pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dubdub throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Dubdub sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Boyer to the ground! Dubdub dives into full mount looking to finish!

It looks like Dillan Boyer has been cut.

Dubdub takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dubdub controlling the pace for now.
Boyer is desperately trying to improve his position but Dubdub has a good base and remains in mount.
Dubdub tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Boyer manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dubdub in particular looking to stall.

Despite being in the dominant position, Dubbie Dubdub just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boyer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dubdub but Dubdub pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dubdub throws a head kick but Boyer moves out of range.

Dubdub takes a swing at Boyer's ribcage but misses.
Dubdub tries a head kick but it misses.
A punch combination from Dubdub misses.
Dubdub throws a head kick that misses.
Boyer moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Dubdub wants to clinch up but Boyer keeps it at a distance.

Dubdub gets caught flat footed, as Boyer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dubdub pulls Boyer in close to his closed guard and prevents Boyer from doing any damage or advancing position.
Boyer trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Dubdub manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Boyer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dubdub doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dubdub manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dubdub is looking to stand up but Boyer won't let him.

Dubdub has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Boyer is proving hard to escape from.

Boyer looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Dubdub has picked Boyer up and slammed him! Boyer can't keep hold of the triangle and Dubdub manages to pass to side control!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Boyer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dubdub dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Boyer. That did some damage!

Dubdub closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Dubdub breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dubdub lands a high kick!

Dubdub feints and as Boyer raises his hands in defense, Dubdub changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dubdub stays in close to Boyer's body and controls the position.

Boyer has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Dubdub should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Boyer has tightened it up now! Dubdub should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
