Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sammy Moukako!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zack McCarty!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarty throws a right hand that misses
and Moukako counters with a shoot takedown. McCarty fights it but they end up in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Moukako accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McCarty can do anything to dispel that myth.

Moukako drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Moukako jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Moukako postures up in McCarty's guard and throws a big left but McCarty blocks it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Moukako counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McCarty's guard now.
Moukako wants to pass the guard but McCarty is keeping the position.

Moukako wants to stand and escape but instead McCarty has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Moukako has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Moukako is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
McCarty is refusing to be controlled, as Moukako sits in half guard.
McCarty tries to get to full guard but Moukako has control of the leg.
Moukako tries to stand but his hand is stuck under McCarty.

Moukako looks to land a strike but McCarty avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
McCarty controls Moukako momentarily but Moukako frees himself.
Moukako has gone for a leg lock! McCarty slips out almost immediately though and dives into Moukako's guard.

Moukako has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McCarty can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McCarty trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
McCarty postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Moukako working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McCarty doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McCarty manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
McCarty is working Moukako over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McCarty is in close to Moukako's body, working some short punches and elbows.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sammy Moukako dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Moukako misses with a kick to the body.
McCarty scores with a jab to the head.
Moukako shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McCarty as he jumps to the side.
Moukako has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
McCarty changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Moukako takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McCarty throws a leg kick
and Moukako counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Moukako is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McCarty doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Moukako.
McCarty makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McCarty.

Moukako is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McCarty is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McCarty has escaped and now he's on top!
McCarty missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
McCarty is posturing up here but Moukako has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! McCarty tries to roll out but it's too tight and McCarty has to tap! Slick submission there by Moukako!
