Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Rajin Hussain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Wigfield!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hussain lunges at Wigfield with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wigfield's hand.
Hussain tries to clinch but Wigfield moves out of range.

Hussain looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wigfield is not content to let Hussain control the position.
Hussain seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Wigfield is trying to stand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wigfield won't allow Hussain to pass to mount.

Rajin Hussain has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Hussain shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wigfield napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rajin Hussain.

Wigfield gets caught flat footed, as Hussain shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Hussain slips nicely into half guard.
Wigfield looks gassed!
Hussain moves into full mount! Wigfield won't be happy about that!
Hussain sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Wigfield defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hussain.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wigfield wants to get back to his feet.
BOOM! Hussain connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Hussain sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Hussain wants to control the pace but Wigfield is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Hussain shoots in and gets a takedown into Wigfield's guard.
Hussain wants to get up but he can't break Wigfield's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Hussain turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Hussain misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hussain tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Wigfield counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hussain won't be happy with that.
Hussain might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hussain bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Wigfield drops his hands momentarily and Hussain takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Hussain falls off balance throwing a combination

and Wigfield decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hussain's guard.
Hussain wants to sweep here but Wigfield controlling him for the moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Wigfield blocks a head kick by Hussain.

Hussain shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hussain showed some decent athleticism there.
Hussain perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rajin Hussain will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Hussain shoots in and bounces Wigfield off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hussain is pushing down on Wigfield's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wigfield is fighting to maintain full guard but Hussain has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wigfield takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Hussain slows the pace down in half guard.

Hussain is nestled in close to Wigfield, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hussain seems to be working for a kimura but Wigfield defends the submission attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hussain is stalling here. Wigfield is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hussain seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Wigfield has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Hussain manages to get back to half guard.
Hussain is trying to control but Wigfield manages to pass to mount!

Hussain tries to lock up and control but Wigfield gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hussain is looking to get to half guard.
Hussain gets back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hussain is looking to improve his position.
Hussain gets back to full guard.
Rajin Hussain overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hussain kicks Wigfield off and gets to his feet.
Jamie Wigfield has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rajin Hussain is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hussain shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wigfield manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rajin Hussain showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hussain has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
