Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Norris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Denny Scott!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris shoots for a takedown but Scott saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Norris fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Scott sprawls well initially but Norris persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Norris is nestled in close to Scott, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Scott is looking to improve his position.
Scott wants to get back to his feet.
Norris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Norris has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Scott's face.

Norris has control of Scott's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Scott regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Norris cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Norris quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Norris but it's paid off an Scott is forced to tap! Nice work by Norris.
