Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Coholic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Minamoto Yoritomo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coholic feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Coholic drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Coholic jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Yoritomo is trying to control the position but Coholic postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coholic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Yoritomo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Coholic thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Yoritomo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Coholic is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Yoritomo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Coholic's back instead.

Yoritomo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Coholic has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Coholic creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Yoritomo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Coholic shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Coholic showed some decent athleticism there.
Coholic is trying to control the action in half guard but Yoritomo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Coholic looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Yoritomo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coholic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coholic is keen to just control but Yoritomo is a slippery customer.

Coholic is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Yoritomo has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Coholic is looking to defend but Yoritomo has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Coholic! Yoritomo pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Coholic taps out and this one is all over!
