Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Prince (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Prince's choice of entrance music: Flava in ya Ear. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Prince!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tyson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Prince counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tyson tries to clinch there but Prince circles away.
Prince lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Prince is looking to clinch but Tyson is avoiding it.

Oooh a lovely combination from Prince sends Tyson down but not out. Prince dives into side control looking to finish.


Tyson is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Prince wants to control but Tyson is keeping him busy.
Prince tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Prince trying to control the position but Tyson is working away.
Prince prevents Tyson from escaping the position.
Prince wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tyson keeps working.
Tyson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Prince has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The ground and pound from Prince seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tyson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Prince has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Tyson is looking to regain half guard here but Prince keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ground and pound from Prince seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Tyson is not content to let Prince control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Tyson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Prince did well to prevent Tyson getting side control.

That kick from Prince tenderised Tyson's leg. Tyson is trying to keep his angry face on.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Tyson counters with a shoot takedown. Prince fights it but they end up in guard.

Tyson moves in looking to clinch but Prince pushes him off.

Tyson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Prince moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Prince connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Tyson shoots in for a takedown but Prince shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alexander Tyson will probably get the nod.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Prince enables Tyson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Prince manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Prince manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tyson manages to get himself to full guard.

Prince got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tyson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Prince has managed to get both his arms back between Tyson's legs - danger averted.
