Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rory Keenan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Flame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keenan comes to the cage accompanied by Warriors Code. Rory Keenan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jonny Flame's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonny Flame!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flame shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Flame wants to take a breather but Keenan is having none of it.
Keenan is looking for a sweep. Flame is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Keenan wants to control but Flame is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Flame looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Keenan is refusing to be controlled, as Flame sits in half guard.
Keenan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Keenan.
Flame controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Flame with a flurry of punches that miss.
Keenan controlling the position.
Flame trying to control the position from guard on top but Keenan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jonny Flame hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Keenan tries to clinch up but Flame circles away and keeps his distance.
Flame misses with the combination.

Flame moves into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Flame drops down looking for an ankle pick but Keenan pulls his leg out and moves away.
A jab lands there for Keenan.
Flame swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Keenan counters by moving into the clinch.
Flame is looking to break free of the clinch but Keenan has double underhooks.

Keenan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Flame avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Keenan misses with a shot to the body
and Flame counters with a right hand to the body.
Keenan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Flame.
Flame throws a left and a right that both miss
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Keenan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Flame.
Flame throws a lazy right hand but Keenan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Flame throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Keenan counters with a thumping low kick.
Keenan fails with the takedown.

Keenan misses with a right hand

and Flame counters with a single leg into guard. Keenan didn't expect that.
Keenan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Flame thows a big elbow that misses.

Flame seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Flame is looking to work some ground and pound but Keenan has wrist control.

Keenan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

and Flame makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Keenan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jonny Flame is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Keenan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Keenan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Flame misses with a double jab
and Keenan counters with a straight right hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Flame takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Flame on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Flame avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Flame misses with a double jab.
Nice defenses there by Flame.
Keenan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Flame tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Keenan swivels and escapes.
Rory Keenan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonny Flame.

Keenan closes the distance and clinches.
Flame is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Flame goes for a takedown attempt but Keenan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Flame on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Keenan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Keenan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Flame is looking to clinch but Keenan is avoiding it.

Flame feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Keenan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Keenan wants to control but instead Flame manages to regain half guard.

Flame pushes Keenan off looking to stand but Keenan dives back in and keeps control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Flame uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Keenan.
Keenan throws an overhand right that lands on Flame's shoulder, as Flame tries to avoid the shot.
Flame lands a nice shot that snaps Keenan's head back.

Keenan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Keenan gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Flame regains guard.
Flame is looking to stand back up but Keenan counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Flame.

Flame pushes Keenan off looking to stand but Keenan dives back in and keeps control.
Flame is controlling Keenan's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Keenan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rory Keenan.
I think Keenan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
