Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Hammett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Strauss Von Rochenberger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammett comes into the arena with For Whom The Bell Tolls blaring out of the sound system. Von Rochenberger has chosen Rammstein - Sonne as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Hammett connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hammett shoots in and bounces Von Rochenberger off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Hammett drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Von Rochenberger manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hammett has Von Rochenberger in his guard.
Hammett is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Von Rochenberger shoots in but Hammett avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hammett leaves Von Rochenberger with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
