And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Welson!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Welson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Rogan wants to get back to striking at distance but Welson won't allow it.
Rogan tries to break free but Welson pushes him back against the cage.

Rogan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Welson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rogan finds it's way round the side to connect with Welson's head.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Rogan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Welson was well out of range. Poor timing from Rogan.

Welson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rogan is trying to keep an underhook but Welson manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Rogan trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Welson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rogan is just riding it out for now. Welson eventually gives up the hold.
Welson is trying to control. Rogan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Welson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Welson prevents Rogan from standing back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rogan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rogan delivers a nice body kick.
Welson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rogan lands a left and a right that send Welson crashing to the mat, dazed. Rogan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Welson is rocked!
Rogan is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Welson hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Joe Rogan!
