Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tha Don (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grim Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzales is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Let it roll. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Don closes the distance and clinches.
Don avoiding damage.

Don successfully pulls guard.
Gonzales must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gonzales trying to control but Don is working from the bottom.
Don throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Gonzales trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Don bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gonzales's guard.

Don closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gonzales quickly recovers to half guard.

Don pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gonzales doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Don decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gonzales's guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gonzales utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Don looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Don thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Gonzales not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gonzales looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Don gets to his feet. Gonzales looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Gonzales rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Don moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gonzales's corner calls for a 1-2. Gonzales obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

and Don counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gonzales's guard now.
Tha Don has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grim Gonzales.

Gonzales is working an open guard so Don takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gonzales goes for a takedown attempt but Don pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Gonzales wants to stand and escape but Don is having none of it.

Grim Gonzales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gonzales looks for the body kick but Don saw that one coming.
Gonzales rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Don moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Don wants to control but Gonzales is keeping him busy.
Don is controlling the pace.
Don lands with a punch from half guard.
Gonzales has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Don is working away from the top position though.
Don takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gonzales tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Don content just to control the position here.
Grim Gonzales has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tha Don is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Gonzales gives up his back whilst trying to strike.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Don, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
