Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Lagutin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Nemean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Nemean looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nikolai Lagutin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lagutin tries to clinch but Nemean moves away

and Nemean decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lagutin's guard.

Lagutin looking for a guillotine here but Nemean defends easily.

Lagutin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Lagutin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nemean has picked Lagutin up and slammed him! Lagutin can't keep hold of the triangle and Nemean manages to pass to side control!

It looks like Nemean might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Lagutin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nemean wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nemean has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Nemean has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lagutin's face.

Nemean seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Lagutin is holding on tight.
Lagutin is desperately trying to improve his position but Nemean has a good base and remains in mount.
Lagutin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nemean on the ground.
Nemean is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lagutin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Lagutin is wriggling around trying to escape.
Lagutin bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Lagutin is breathing heavily.

Lagutin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nemean looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nemean looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nemean!
Nemean remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Nemean cracks Lagutin with a big right hand but Lagutin just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Nemean fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lagutin to the ground. Nemean is now in Lagutin's guard.

Lagutin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nemean defends well.

and Nemean counters by clinching up.
Lagutin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Nemean just stands there and leans against the cage.
Lagutin jumps guard but Nemean stands there with Lagutin around his waist. Lagutin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lagutin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nemean has picked Lagutin up and slammed him! Lagutin can't keep hold of the triangle and Nemean manages to pass to side control!

I really don't envy Lagutin right now.

Nemean postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lagutin looks a forlorn figure.

Well Nemean has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
