The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fokin fails with the takedown
enabling Otunga to counter with a crisp jab.

Otunga looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Otunga is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fokin has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Otunga escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Otunga!

Fokin wants to control but Otunga is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Fokin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Otunga defends it easily.

Otunga wants to stand but Fokin has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Fokin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Otunga has picked Fokin up and slammed him! Fokin can't keep hold of the triangle and Otunga manages to pass to side control!

Fokin tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Otunga wants to control the pace but Fokin is squirming around nicely.

Fokin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Otunga wants to stand and escape but Fokin is having none of it.
Otunga is breathing heavily.

Fokin drops back looking for a leg! Otunga is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Otunga manages to kick Fokin off! Fokin jumps back into Otunga's guard.
Fokin wants to pass the guard but Otunga is keeping the position.
Fokin passes Otunga's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Fokin is looking for a kimura but Otunga is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fokin to get the leverage.

Fokin is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Otunga is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
