Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jose Pilantra!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man shoots in for a takedown but Pilantra shows good takedown defense.
Pilantra tries to clinch but Man moves out of range.
Pilantra misses with a wild combination.
Man will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Man looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pilantra is trying to stand up here but Man is controlling him well.
Pilantra gets full guard.
Man stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pilantra swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pilantra tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Man is pushing down on Pilantra's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pilantra is fighting to maintain full guard but Man has managed to sneak the leg through.
Pilantra tries to kick Man off but Man keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Man wants to free his trapped foot but Pilantra is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Pilantra has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Man is working away from the top position though.
Pilantra is refusing to be controlled, as Man sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
We're going to have a standup here because Cinderella Man wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Pilantra shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Man wants to hold on but Pilantra pushes him away.
Man is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Man is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Man is trying to escape the mount.
Pilantra controlling from the full mount.
Pilantra trying to control but Man is having none of it.
Pilantra punishing his opponent with strikes.
Man is trying desperately to improve position.
Pilantra tries to control but Man wriggling away.

Pilantra wants to control the pace but Man is squirming around nicely.

Pilantra prevents Man from getting the reversal.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Pilantra is working for a guillotine from mount but Man frees his head quite easily.
Man sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Man makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Man.
Pilantra tries to free his leg and advance position but Man is retaining full guard.
Man looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Pilantra is defending well. Man quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pilantra has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Man celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
