The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Advantage lands a nice hook to Akiyama's body. Akiyama takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Advantage shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Akiyama eats them both and turns towards Advantage to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Advantage throws a combination. Akiyama tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Yoshihiro Akiyama has been cut.
A low kick from Akiyama misses
and Advantage counters with a left and a right that stings Akiyama.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Advantage takes the fight into the clinch.
