The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rejo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rejo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maguire is fending him off so far but Rejo persists. Nope, Maguire circles away and we're back to standing.
A telegraphed right hand from Rejo misses the target.

Rejo throws a lazy right hand but Maguire sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rejo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Maguire manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Rejo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Maguire's guard now.
Rejo tries to free his leg and advance position but Maguire is retaining full guard.
Rejo stands and throws Maguire's legs to the side, diving into side control.
