Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bestigor Tazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jem Coughlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tazar comes into the arena with Beastmaster's Fortress blaring out of the sound system. Bestigor Tazar could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jem Coughlin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bestigor Tazar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jem Coughlin!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coughlin loads up on a big right hand but Tazar slips the punch.
Bestigor Tazar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Coughlin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tazar.
The fight stays on the outside here - Coughlin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tazar ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Coughlin throws the left hand but Tazar avoids the punch easily.

Coughlin slips under a jab from Tazar.
Coughlin looks for the body kick but Tazar saw that one coming.
Coughlin misses with a hook
and Tazar counters with a good low kick that Coughlin was not able to check.
Coughlin throws the kick towards the body but Tazar avoids it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Coughlin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Coughlin tries to close the distance and clinch but Tazar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tazar lands the left hand.
Tazar lands a slapping body shot.

It looks like Jem Coughlin has been cut.
Tazar thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Coughlin if he has to take too many more of those.
Coughlin looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tazar looks to score with a jab to the body but Coughlin is just out of range.
Coughlin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tazar sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Coughlin misses with a knee strike.
Tazar tries a knee to the head but Coughlin blocks it.
Tazar lands a nice knee to the body.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Coughlin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Coughlin.
Coughlin looks to land a left hand but Tazar moved out of range nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coughlin throws a looping overhand right but Tazar ducks down to avoid it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tazar cracks Coughlin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

enabling Tazar to counter with a crisp jab.
Coughlin avoids the head kick by Tazar.
Coughlin looks to land a left hand but Tazar moved out of range nicely.
Coughlin pushes Tazar away with a front kick.

A close third round but Jem Coughlin just about did enough to take it.

Coughlin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Coughlin in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Coughlin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tazar.
Coughlin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tazar counters with a head kick. That will keep Coughlin thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Coughlin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jem Coughlin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Coughlin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tazar.

and Coughlin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Well Tazar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
